Health, social and economic interactions

ABS interacts positively with health and social aspects of everyday life. It decreases the risk of a car crash thus preventing injury and death. This means that people are less likely to have the need to pay for health care. ABS interacts with the social aspect of society by preventing arguments about damaged cars and can prevent law suits following a car crash as ABS will most likely have prevented the crash in the first place. ABS also interacts with economics as it causes collisions to be less likely and therefore affects insurance costs. Many insurance companies have policies that if you are involved in a car crash that ABS could have prevented and you had ABS disabled (some cars now have this feature), then your insurance will not cover you. This interaction can be seen from two sides. It is negative as it can cause you to not be covered by your insurance; however it is also positive as it encourages people to use ABS which can prevent life threatening crashes.
